The Inspiration
In late September 2010, while in New York City, Robyne Marie went to Ground Zero. It was extremely emotional for her to be standing at the very site in which the twin towers once stood before the attack on 9/11. She was deeply moved and felt the presence of many spirits. As a clairvoyant, she experienced the visions of ghostly shadows that still linger, lost and still processing what had happened to them.
Robyne Marie returned home to Boston, MA. Upon waking the next morning, she sat on the edge of her bed with her computer at hand. She immediately sensed the presence of a male entity. The face of the spirit was very close to her face, to the degree of it being rather suffocating. Appearing in a tunnel effect, the spirit was enveloped in cloudiness with people standing behind him. In Parapsychology this is referred to as “looking through the veil.” Robyne Marie went into a meditative state and began channeling the spirit. The voice of the male spirit identified himself as a teacher who was killed during the 9/11 attack. He said to her that there were many spirits on the other side with him. They were all together and safe. The male spirit told Robyne Marie that she was to tell the children what happened that tragic day in New York City.
Robyne Marie was instructed by the spirit to begin typing. This is known as “automatic writing.” Through the energy of the teacher’s spirit, she wrote the entire book in only minutes. A few days later, Robyne Marie was sent visuals of each illustration and what the characters should look like. They were all very hollow mouthed and distorted — ghostly characters, like in a dream. Robyne Marie described the visions to a high school junior, artist Jonathan Vanderburgh. Young Jonathan instantly grasped the concept and began sketching. Robyne Marie believes this was the work of not only the teacher’s spirit from 9/11, but also from that of a Divine power.
